Obligatory Year-ender Post
I’m greeting 2013 the same way I greeted 2012 — in front of my computer. Except now I have a title after my name and I am father-less. Maybe some time I will write about him, but I have yet to muster the strength to do that. It’s quite curious yet painful at the same time that 2012’s been the year when I got what I always wanted and lost what I never wanted to lose; so as much as I’d like to say 2012 was a good year, I can’t.
At this point I’d like to say two things:
I’M SORRY. I haven’t been the best student, the best son, brother, even friend. Maybe not even a good one. I did so many things I have and will regret. Things that cost me my friends, my relationships, my future. But when I come to think of it, it’s what new years are for. To own up to our mistakes, regrets, grudges, and start with a clean slate. A new chance to make good with the promises we make to ourselves each new year, and a new opportunity to be better versions of ourselves for the past year.
THANK YOU to everyone who’s been part of my year. EVERYONE — be it family, friends, more than friends, classmates, professors, acquaintances, and Tumblr and Twitter followers even if we’ve exhanged just one conversation. What can I say, you completed my 2012!
And though 2012 has been really challenging for me, one cliche holds true — it made me who I am right now.
At this point, my friend, I raise an imaginary wine glass (with wine, of course).
Cheers, to clean slates.

Hi!
It’s been around a year since I last made a personal post. One reason being our recently concluded October 2012 CPA Board Exams. Fortunately, I was able to brave what is considered as one of the hardest board exams in the Philippines! Quite a great feat to be honest. I guess a part of me had to let Tumblr go to give more time for review and studies. I cannot same for Twitter, but I regret nothing.
